The Philippine Islands, August 2016
I have in-laws from the Philippines, - namely my brother's wife and her family. We had the opportunity to go there and meet them all and it was a real adventure. We all met up at the airport in Manilla, and from there flew to Iloilo. (Pronounced eee-low eee-low.) For 20 days we travelled over dirt roads on trikes, - motorcycles modified to carry an exta three people, - or on jeepneys, which is a kind of bus. Those folks have a different culture, - for example they have different psychological body-space requirements. Those jeepneys would be crammed so tight with people we could smell each others' breath. I got to spend some time doing some "up in your face" street photography, and I loved every minute of it! I hope you all like these!
